Marc Auzet and Juliette Goudy are two craftsmen and architects from France specialised in natural materials and in particular earth and woodwork.
Marc first trained 4 years as a wood cabinetmaker. During that time he discovered modern furniture design from the Bauhaus School of Art, which lead him to enrol at the Grenoble National Superior School of Architecture where he graduated from a Master degree in architecture.
After studying interior design during one year, Juliette studied architecture and graduated from a Master degree in architecture at the Grenoble National Superior School of Architecture.
They both studied earth architecture during 2 years at the CRAterre international research centre on earth construction. Their first mission as earth construction experts in China was to assist Pr. Wang Shu and his wife Lu Wenyu to build the Washan guesthouse in Hangzhou. They have since worked with other Chinese architects and have trained other teams in China on different earth construction technics such as rammed earth, earth plaster, earth floor, etc.
In 2016, Marc Auzet and Juliette Goudy setup their studio/workshop “Atelier Tŭmù” in northwest France where they design and make interior design, furniture and decorative objects using wood and earth.
